His July 2025 piece on AWS Kiro reads a product launch through governance. Kiro is built on Code OSS, runs Anthropic's Claude Sonnet 4.0 and 3.7, and splits development into requirement decomposition, technical design, and task implementation. He treats its "spec coding" pitch as an attempt to reconcile vibe coding with enterprise documentation, testing and governance, and records the metered pricing (50 agentic interactions free per month, $19 for 1000, $39 for 3000) against competitors offering unlimited plans.

By July 2026 the same lens points at the platforms themselves. He argues that Amazon, Microsoft and Google have converged on six primitives (runtime, memory, tool gateway, identity, observability, governance) across Bedrock AgentCore, Microsoft Foundry and the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, and reads the moment against the 2011-2016 PaaS inflexion, when Cloud Foundry and Heroku unified infrastructure around an application contract. The agent ecosystem reaches that inflexion without an equivalent contract. Open protocols (MCP, A2A, OpenTelemetry, OCI) supply most of the primitives but not the lifecycle: versioning, promotion, rollback.

He closes on a diligence test: neutral governance, portable packaging, exportable state. No open project answers all three, and he expects whoever owns the agent control plane to define what an agent is.
