Patrick Joubert runs Rippletide and works from a single premise, stated in April 2026 to Les Echos: "Le facteur limitant, c'est la cognition humaine." Florian Dèbes found him running five agent tabs in parallel, the most aggressive delegation practice in a San Francisco reportage otherwise built around commercial and engineering uses of Claude.

The October 2025 piece explains what the parallel tabs are for. Joubert opens on a gap: Gartner counts 64% of technology leaders wanting agentic AI in production within 24 months, against 17% who have actually deployed it. His diagnosis is not model capability but trust, and he traces it to an architectural choice shared by Microsoft, Google, and AWS. Azure AI Agent Service lacks built-in decision orchestration and audit trails; Google Vertex AI Agent Builder leaves policy enforcement and guardrails to the user; AWS Bedrock treats the LLM itself as the decision-maker. All three inherit opaque decision pipelines because reasoning, policy enforcement, and execution are never separated.

Underneath sits his claim about LLMs: probabilistic next-token predictors were never designed to reason, so they lack deterministic reasoning and verifiable causality. Rippletide's answer is a hypergraph database acting as a Decision Layer, with an under-1% hallucination rate claimed for production agents and guardrails embedded in the graph structure itself.

The two notes sit in tension. Joubert pushes delegation to its practical limit while arguing the delegated systems cannot yet be audited.
