IA agentique

Aiman Ezzat, directeur général de Capgemini, told Investir in July 2026 that «IA agentique» brings "une nouvelle forme de travail": agents that execute tasks, insert themselves into business processes, and contribute to decisions. He also called delivering on that promise "tout sauf simple" and said enterprises are "très loin du plug and play". Capgemini had committed 2 billion euros three years earlier; generative and agentic projects went from 6% to more than 11% of first-quarter bookings.

The measured effects land downstream of code generation. Sachin Malhotra, an engineer at Anthropic, reported a twenty-five-fold increase in CI jobs over six months, with engineers shipping eight times more code per quarter than between 2021 and 2025 and Claude writing 80% of it. Brian Houck, in DX's Engineering Enablement newsletter, reported that significant lines per human-merged diff at Meta rose 106% in a year, more than 80% of that growth attributed to «IA agentique», while the share of diffs reviewed within 24 hours fell. Developers want to spend about 7% of their time on review.

The displacement claims run wider than tooling. Bain & Company sizes cross-system coordination work at roughly $100 billion in the United States, with 10% captured. Ashish Singh argues enterprise AI failures come from ignoring knowledge structure rather than from model choice or a «RAG» deployment. Philippe Ensarguet (Orange) names the cost: the road to architect ran through years of writing code, and that apprenticeship is being absorbed. Where the next generation comes from is unanswered.
